Seascape
Connection

Nestled in a 4.67-acre site with a private beach overlooking the Andaman Sea, Cahaya Langkawi marries the tropical beauty of Pantai Tengah, Langkawi, with well-appointed accommodation and facilities for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). Through its nature-based solutions, existing site challenges are resolved to make way for exciting placemaking opportunities.

With its proximity to sea and nature, Cahaya Langkawi aims to elevate the spirit, recharge the body and refresh the mind of TNB's staff and guests.

The resort derives its form by responding to the blue and green elements of the site, ascending in height as it moves closer towards the coastal line. This gesture creates a cape-like beacon that metaphorically symbolises the act of achievement when faced with adversity. A concept of lightness is emulated in the building’s brise soleil façade, and in the recreational activities planned within the resort grounds.

The architecture puts great emphasis on external views to the surrounds, complementing a multitude of experiences at different zones within the development. The interiors are also designed to reflect natural colours that echo the beauty and serenity of the eastern seascape. In guestrooms, the flexible lounge can be converted into a dining space while open bathrooms offer discreet scenic views to the outdoors.
